About Arctovec Games

Why we built this

Most "free" games today come with a catch: an account to create, an app to install, a launcher to update, or a wall of pop-ups before you reach the actual game. We wanted the opposite. Open a page, and you're playing within seconds. Close the tab when you're done. Your progress — bankroll, streaks, high scores — lives in your own browser, not on a server tied to a login.

That constraint shapes everything we make. Each game has to load fast on a phone or a laptop, play cleanly with touch or a keyboard, and respect your time. We'd rather ship one game that feels good to play a hundred times than a dozen that you bounce off once.

How our games are made

Every title is hand-built rather than generated or cloned from a template. We write the rules, design the feedback, tune the difficulty, and test each game until the core loop feels right. Alongside the game itself, each section includes plain-language rules, a strategy guide, and an FAQ — because knowing how something works is part of enjoying it.

We currently have four games live, spanning three categories:

• Blackjack — single-player card play with a six-deck shoe, clear payouts, and persistent bankroll tracking.
• Skein — a daily five-letter word puzzle with a hidden weekly thread revealed each Sunday.
• Trailblaze — a daily path-tracing word game on a 7×7 grid, where every word starts beside the last one's end cell.
• Pixel Armada — a retro arcade shooter with hand-designed levels and a local leaderboard.

What's next

We add games deliberately, not in bulk. New card, puzzle, and arcade titles are in the works, and existing games get refined as we learn how people actually play them. If there's a game you'd love to see — or a rough edge on one we've already shipped — we want to hear about it.
