SKEIN
A daily five-letter puzzle. Six guesses. Three feedback states.
Each Mon–Sat puzzle is a day in a hidden weekly thread. The connecting theme is revealed on Sunday — a small reward for showing up across the week, not just for keeping a streak alive.
Today's puzzle is waiting
Solve in as few guesses as you can. Share a spoiler-free grid when you're done. Come back tomorrow for the next thread.
Daily, not endless
One puzzle per day, the same for everyone. No bingeing.
A weekly thread
Mon–Sat puzzles share a hidden theme. Sunday reveals it.
Spoiler-free share
Brand glyphs (★ ◆ ○) communicate your result without giving the answer away.
What makes Skein different
If you've played a daily word-guessing game before, the core loop of Skein will feel familiar: you have six tries to find a hidden five-letter word, and after each guess every letter tells you whether it's in the right spot, somewhere else in the word, or not in the word at all. One puzzle goes live each day, the same for everyone, so there's nothing to binge and no way to race ahead.
What sets Skein apart is the thread. Monday through Saturday, each day's word is one strand of a hidden weekly theme. You won't know what connects them until Sunday, when the thread is revealed — a reason to show up across the whole week, not just to protect a streak. When you solve, you get a spoiler-free grid of brand glyphs (★ ◆ ○) you can share without giving the answer away.
