Drop snowballs into the jar. Matching sizes merge into the next size up. Don't let the pile cross the frost line. That's the whole game — and it's harder than it sounds.
Objective
Snowline is an endless merge game. Every drop adds to the pile, every same-size pair that touches fuses into a bigger snowball, and your run lasts as long as you keep the pile below the frost line. There's no win state — the goal is a higher score than your last run, and ultimately the rare Aurora Core.
Controls
- Desktop: Move the mouse to aim along the rail, click (or press space) to drop. Arrow keys nudge the aim.
- Mobile: Touch and drag on the jar to aim, lift your finger to drop. One gesture is the whole interface.
The Nine Tiers
Snowballs come in nine sizes, smallest to largest: Snowflake, Slush Ball, Snowball, Packed Ball, Ice Ball, Frost Orb, Glacier Chunk, Iceberg, and the glowing Aurora Core. Only the four smallest sizes load onto the rail — everything bigger has to be made by merging.
When two snowballs of the same size touch, they fuse into one snowball of the next size up at the contact point. Merges chain: a fresh merge can immediately touch off another.
Scoring
Each merge scores the value of the snowball it creates, doubling per tier: 4 for a Slush Ball, 8 for a Snowball, and so on up to 512 for an Aurora Core. Merging two Aurora Cores is the jackpot — a 1,000-point bonus, and the pair collapses back into a single Snowflake, returning that lineage to the jar instead of vanishing.
The Frost Line
The dashed line near the top of the jar is the frost line. If any settled snowball sits above it for about a second, the run ends. A ball that briefly bounces over the line won't end the run — the timer resets the moment the pile drops back below. The zone glows red while the timer is counting.
Game Over
When the frost line claims the run, your final score and highest merge are captured. If your score qualifies for the local top 10, you'll enter three initials. The leaderboard is stored in your browser only. Play Again resets the jar instantly.
